Today I turn 8 weeks old. My mom commemorated the occasion with a picture of me at 8 weeks.
I am continuing to gain weight and I go for my two month check-up at the doctor's office next Monday. Mom and dad hope the doctor stops my fat formula. It makes my tummy hurt really bad and gives me all kinds of gas. It is helping me plump up nice though. My mom put me on the postal scale at the office last week and I weighed close to ten pounds!!!! Look how big I am!
My Bubbe and Zayde are in Alaska right now sleeping with the Caribou. I really do miss them!
My Bubbe told me I am in charge of the office while she is away and I definitely have had to lay down the law with the employees at the office. They don't like my strict guidelines of holding me all day long and last week one employee quit. It's pretty much just mom and me at the office. She called in reinforcement and she (Diane) loves to hold me but has to get work done too. My working conditions are awful. I must be held more. Since my employee's refuse to hold me all day while working I have decided that I will make my parents lives miserable at night by crying and refusing to go to sleep. My mom and dad need a reminder of who runs the show and it surely isn't them!!
My Bubbe and Zayde are far away and my mom told me that on Thursday they are going to do the "Polar Plunge". I think they take off all their clothes and run into the ice cold Arctic water. I bet Zayde gets mistaken for a polar bear!!!!
I wanted to post proof that my cousin Carter is indeed a happy baby and does in fact smile and laugh. I have seen proof before but this side of his family doesn't see him awake AND happy very often!!! This was taken outside the Mexican restaurant this weekend. Apparently Carter likes Mexican. My mom sure can make Carter laugh sometimes!Not much news here. It is really hot. The air conditioning broke at my house and it has been like a sauna. Mom called the air conditioning people and it took them two days to fix it. My mom gave me lots of cool bathes in the mean time and I really enjoy those. It won't be long before I am swimming in the big kid pool.
I can't wait to spend more time with all my favorite family members. I'm blowing virtual kisses to everyone!!!

I can't believe you are eight weeks old! Please be nice to your mom and dad and try to take after your Aunt Caroline--she slept through the night at 2 1/2 weeks, and I know you can, too, if you work hard at it.
Keep bossing everyone around at the office. You are in charge, and don't you forget it!
This weekend, I'm taking a big walk to help make the world a healthier place for you, Carter, and all the babies we know. I'll be thinking about you the whole time!

Hey Izz,
First off I have seen your cousin smile, laugh and be merry many times. He is a very happy baby. Second, I am glad you are getting bigger. You have to be healthy to be a part of this family, and I mean very HEALTH!
It sucks when your air conditioning breaks, but if you ever need a place to stay you can come over to my house. Your Aunt Laura keeps it like an ise box in there.
